Why the challenges in Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace are stopping you from living the life you want | Nadia Edwards - Dashti

Published on: 31st October, 2021

All of us have felt like we don't fit in or that we have some sort of disadvantage compared to others at some point in our lives - whether that was in school, at work or at social situations.

Now imagine working in an environment where you go to work everyday and you are constantly subconsciously reminded that you indeed are different and indeed need to work harder to get the same treatment as the rest of the group just because of your gender, skin colour, ethnicity, sexual orientation or even professional background.

That is a fear based world not condusive to everyone creating their best work and being their best selves; therefore creating more!

Hence this is one of the most important conversations we can have in the pod... how do we improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace so that we can embrace differences and leverage differences; rather than making them weaknesses?

Nadia Edwards is a UK activist and Diversity Exclusion expert that guides us through practical things we can do to improve the workplace!
