Female high achiever who wants balance and success in life, and works in male dominated environment? This is for you | Mike Amato, one of the most sought-after executive coaches

Published on: 20th June, 2021

In business and sports, behind every high performer there is a successful mentor, meet mine: Mike Amato.

Mike was President at Washington Mutual Bank in the US, Head of Global Product and Distribution at Barclays, looked after a 30,000 people team, smashed performance KPIs, and he joined the Board at Santander and Tandem Bank in the UK.

He went from answering the phone to the Board room, and I am blessed to have him in my life.

We were colleagues at Tandem, and later he became my mentor and my go to person during my almost four years in Asia.

This week we want to share with you what usually happens in our private conversations, so listen in and take notes.

Here’s a bit more about Mike:

  • He led 30,000 people out of a crisis.
  • He is a believer that a crisis causes change. So he did.
  • He ran a programme to reboot and reconnect to the company core values leading to outstanding results:
  • Employer engagement went from the lowest of 64% to 92% in 18 months.
  • Survey response rates from 70% to 95%
  • Sales per seller of a 20,000 people team went 9 to 23 sales per seller per week

This was his ROI for changing the culture.

We are blessed that Mike has gone through a career change himself and he no longer is a member of the Board.

He has started a winery in Washington State and creates award winning wines.

And lucky us, he started a mentoring and advisory business.

He focuses on helping people grow their careers and their success, and he does advisory work for organizations, eg mentoring a group of people to change the culture ecosystem

He tends to work with female high achievers, who want balance and success in life, and work in male dominated industries.

If you are curious and this resonates with you, or you are going through a personal crisis, or your company needs a post pandemic reboot, listen to the full episode and do reach out.

I promise you, even if you are a founder, C Level or Board member, you will have good key takeaways.

This is a podcast for everyone.

If you are a woman you have to listen till the end, as I asked Mike a question I had in my mind and I get asked by my mentees often too.
